You Have a Purpose

We have all at one time or another asked ourselves the question “am I making a difference—does my life mean anything?”  Be encouraged!  You have a purpose, personal and unique to you given by God. He has given you gifts and talents and the grace to accomplish this purpose as you trust in Him and His word.

“For we are God’s fellow workers [His servants working together]; you are God’s cultivated field [His garden, His vineyard], God’s building. According to the [remarkable] grace of God which was given to me [to prepare me for my task], like a skillful master builder I laid a foundation, and now another is building on it. But each one must be careful how he builds on it, for no one can lay a foundation other than the one which is [already] laid, which is Jesus Christ.”  ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:9-11‬ ‭AMP‬‬

These simple questions will help you discover what that purpose is and how you can begin walking in and living your purpose.

What are the gifts and talents you have been given?  Document them.

What do you accomplish that isn’t “easy” for others?

What do you love to do?  What energizes you?

How has God led you in the past through decisions and transitions?

What endeavors are you involved in that you love (job, business, volunteering)?

“A man’s gift makes room for him, And brings him before great men.” Proverbs‬ ‭18:16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Purpose is the key to happiness, wealth and success. Identify and recognize what God has given you and trust His word to lead you into your purpose.  He is more interested in seeing those gifts and talents used and valued than we could ever be.
