My life has been a triangle for the past several years. Let me explain. My husband Dave and I lived in the Dallas-Fort Worth area after we got married. I was blessed to be VP of WealthBuilders in Colorado and also teach at Charis Business School (now I am the Assistant Director), then we started buying investment property in Florida. Hence, lots of flying in a triangle going from one of these places to another and back again. In the last few months we have had some major developments and a particular week at the end of February was a doozy.
I typically don’t have an abundance of down time because when I sit still, my mind fills with ideas to be considered. It is relaxing and refreshing for me to be doing the things I love—home design and staging—and there is the added bonus of doing those things with my family. Most of my home design is happening in Florida right now, but it seems to follow me wherever I go. Here is where the Week of Wildness came into play.
Dave has changed jobs and we are moving to the Colorado Springs area. Now we have a house under contract in DFW (beautifully staged, of course, lol), a condo in Colorado Springs we are upgrading and furnishing, a property in Vero Beach ready to launch on AirBnB, and a recently acquired property in the same area to begin work on. There were appraisals, final furniture purchases, offers to be considered and coaching calls to prepare for, just for starters. Some days I wake up unsure of where I am for just a moment, until I recognize the furnishings.
Watch more fix and flips here.
‘Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life, then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding, will guard your heart and mind through Jesus Christ.’ Philippians 4:6-7 TPT
This particular week is actually not so uncommon for me. I work with some great teams who keep me on track and Levi and Carly, my son and his beautiful wife, are the feet on the ground in Florida. We have 9 vacation rental properties which they manage in Florida and there are more to come. Soon, the triangle will become a straight line between Colorado and Florida, but you never know what adventure the Lord has in store for you. Living out the purpose God has given me—to bring vision to reality—is the best place to be. Always.
Enjoy Your Week!
