During these changing times it is important to identify fear as a tactic of the enemy to keep you from fulfilling God’s purpose in your life. It is vital to use the Word of God as your chain of reasoning to filter thoughts. The Word of God leaves no room for fear to gain an open door in your mind. “Blessed is the one who always trembles before God, but whoever hardens their heart falls into trouble.” Proverbs 28:14 NIV
In His Word the fear of God is a weapon for combating the unhealthy, negative fear of the enemy. In Strong’s definition (3374) the fear of God is a reverence for Him acknowledging His good intentions for us. It helps restrain us from sin, brings justice, humility and even good sleep. It promises riches, honor and life.
Having a healthy, positive fear of God diffuses the enemy’s ability to plant thoughts of fear, worry, anxiety, depression and even torment. Daily you can take fearful thoughts captive and believe Him—looking at life through the lens of His Word. “Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.” Proverbs 29:25 NIV. Peace and blessing are available for you and your family.
Fear Not,

He’ll Be the Fighter | Praying Our Promises
We experience joy and power when we pray in alignment with God’s promises. This week, I (Karen) tell of a time when God used a popular secular song to remind me of the promise in Exodus 14:14. We can rest knowing that He will fight on our behalf!
“The Lord will fight for you while you [only need to] keep silent and remain calm.” -Exodus 14:14 (AMP)
Join my husband Dave and me for Heart to Heart, as we spend time each week learning to experience God in a personal way and practice those things in the Word that bring abundant life to our everyday lives.
