Do you remember singing that song during childhood games? There was also a Looney Tunes cartoon with the 3 little pigs building their houses and shivering in fear when the wolf comes around. The enemy wants you to think he is the big bad wolf and you should be very afraid of what he can do in your life. The reality is, the enemy can’t do anything in your life except trick and deceive. Everything he does or says is a lie and you are not obligated to listen to or believe one single word.
…He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.’ John 8:44 NLT.
Those days when you feel anxious, worried or stressed are the days you are entertaining thoughts from the enemy, but they are all lies. His plan to make you afraid and uncertain, crumbles under the knowledge that thoughts of fear are not from God. Fearful thoughts from the enemy are untrue, it is as simple as that. Even better, is the knowledge that God equips you to discern, identify and crush those lies before they can take hold in any situation.
