Scripture is filled with examples of men and women who were both wealthy and influential. Abraham was a man of great wealth. Joseph ran the economy of Egypt. Lydia was a merchant. The woman in Proverbs 31 bought land, managed resources, and built enterprises. As the children of Israel prepared to enter the Promised Land, God reminded them that it is He who gives the power to create wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18).

King Solomon stands as one of the clearest examples of God’s intentional blessing through prosperity. Scripture records that God specifically granted him wisdom, which produced unparalleled wealth and honor (1 Kings 3:13). This wisdom led Solomon to leverage strategic trade routes, broker deals between nations, build maritime commerce, receive tribute from foreign rulers, and organize a labor force, essentially constructing the ancient world’s most powerful economic empire.

God has never had an issue with money or success. The issue has always been the condition of the heart that holds it. Business, when it flows from a life genuinely rooted in God, becomes one of the most powerful expressions of His nature on earth. Every problem solved reflects His creativity. Every team led well reflects His servant heart. Every job created, every family strengthened, every gift funded by a generous enterprise, make the Kingdom visible in the marketplace.

Dave and I are excited about an upcoming book addressing marketplace issues. Purpose and prosperity are not in competition. Identity and influence belong together. The inner life and the outer results are not two separate conversations; they are one.

When a person discovers who God created them to be and learns to lead and build from that place, something shifts. Work stops being a performance and starts being a stewardship. Wealth stops being a measure of worth and starts being a resource for purpose. And the legacy a person leaves stops being about what they accumulated and starts being about what they planted.

I cannot wait to share this incredible resource with you. Be on the lookout for the announcement coming soon.

From the marketplace,
