This week in the Vision To Reality series The Promise of Purpose, we are looking at Chapter 3: Purpose Lived Out in Scripture. I have found that I learn best by example, which is why I believe strongly in having a mentor. I am also passionate about following the examples given to us in the Word of God. Today we are studying Esther and how she lived out her purpose.

‘…Esther also was taken to the king’s palace, into the care of Hegai, the custodian of the women. Now the young woman pleased him, and she obtained his favor; so he readily gave beauty preparations to her, besides her allowance…maidservants were provided for her…and he moved her… to the best place in the house of the women.’ Esther 2:8-9 NKJV

Esther had been prepared spiritually by her guardian Mordecai and she was submitted to his authority and protection. The condition of her heart caused her to be able to trust the hand of God in this frightening situation and gave her favor wherever she went. Esther did not know her purpose was to become queen of a vast nation, but she did know how to seek God, to hear His voice and obey. These are the foundations for finding and living your purpose. Are you seeking the Lord about the purpose He has uniquely designed for you?
