Let’s be honest. How are your expectations for this year? Are you believing God for big things, or are you just hoping to get by? Ephesians 3:20 tells us that God “is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.” Why, then, do we limit ourselves? In this episode of The WealthBuilders Podcast, Karen Conrad reveals 6 glass ceilings that might be limiting your potential. You will be encouraged to let go of the past and maximize the moment at hand!

What is a Glass Ceiling?

The term glass ceiling is a barrier that prevents people from advancing. In business, it is used to describe obstacles that keep certain individuals from receiving promotions. Like glass, these barriers are real, but often looked through or regarded as invisible.

We all experience spiritual glass ceilings, too. Whether they be false beliefs about ourselves or painful past experiences, the enemy will use whatever he can to keep you from experiencing freedom in your life.

3 Encouraging Bible Verses to Help You Break Through Spiritual Glass Ceilings

1. Matthew 13:13 & 16 (AMP):

“This is the reason I speak to the crowds in parables: because while [having the power of] seeing they do not see, and while [having the power of] hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand and grasp [spiritual things]. […] But blessed [spiritually aware, and favored by God] are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear.”

  • You and I have the opportunity to see in the Spirit through the eyes of God, and that equips us with the resources and ability to bring heaven to earth.

2. Proverbs 23:6-7 (NKJV):

“Do not eat the bread of a miser,

Nor desire his delicacies;

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.”

  • If you think limiting thoughts, your actions will be limited.
  • When we connect with God and people who think bigger than us, they open up our imaginations and paths to opportunity.

3. 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 (ESV):

“But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him” these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.”
