One of the best things I learned while discovering my purpose was that I did not have to stay in a job I hated. When I realized that God was not going to call me to something I hated to do, I felt free and motivated and ready to take on the world. Your purpose is wrapped up in the desires of your heart, not the dread of unreal expectations. God made you the way you are, He gave you desires, gifts, talents and abilities to accomplish what He knows you are best suited to do with your life. Are you doing what you love? Are you living your best life? Are you working at or working towards your dream job? Why not?
When was the last time you sat down and dreamed with God? How long has it been since you emerged excited from your time with the Lord? Have you asked the Lord what HE thinks you would be really good at? Wouldn’t you love to be fulfilling your life purpose at your 8 to 5 job? You certainly can be. By identifying your gifts and talents and narrowing your purpose, you can make a difference in anything you undertake. When you feel your purpose being fulfilled through your occupation, you can move from a job you hate to a vocation that brings life and hope and joy.
