Today, the opportunities for spiritual, emotional and physical fear are plentiful. You can feel it in social media posts and hear it in the grocery store aisles and there is a temptation to wonder: Where is God in all this? Does He know what is happening? I can tell you beyond any shadow of doubt, He is here and He knows. “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’’ (Isaiah 41:10 NKJV).

 A major step to begin living a life free of fear can be found in this verse, “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” (I John 4:18 NKJV). With an understanding of God’s unconditional love, you can exalt the Word of God over any thoughts, fears, or imaginations assaulting you. God does not want you to live with fear but He provides you with His  perfect love which “casts out” or displaces fear. Love and fear cannot live together, so fill your heart with Him. You can be free from fear today.
