I have a very interesting story to tell you. It all started with identifying my purpose—Bringing Vision to Reality—and it ended with connections and opportunities that had never even crossed my mind. And when I say ended, I just mean what has happened in this particular story, not the end of what God can do.
You are all aware of our family business, specifically our vacation rentals, where my purpose is practiced from the gutting to the staging of the properties. And you also know the accompanying goal when I design our properties is beauty, peace and comfort. We want practicality and serviceability to be wrapped in the joy of a beautiful space. We have hundreds of reviews on our properties that testify to our successful fulfillment of these goals.
A while back, Carly and Levi accepted a last minute booking for a single night in one of our properties. It was out of the ordinary, but it facilitated a connection we could never have made on our own. The guest was embraced by the beauty and atmosphere of peace at the property, and he not only complimented us, but wanted to contact the designer. After taking the appropriate precautions (IYKYK), we made the connection with a business owner (we will call him J) from Minnesota who wanted to hire me for 5 different projects!
If you follow me on social media you will have seen the cabin I staged for J’s family, sight unseen. This past weekend, I staged a new business he is invested in—a car detailing service—again, done almost entirely remotely. The other projects coming up include some different businesses and a restaurant, which have never been on my design radar. I own a marketing company, so I can tell you for sure, this could not have happened without the hand of the Lord making it possible.
I know God has graciously equipped me to succeed in the unique purpose He created for me. I know I am the most fulfilled when I am walking and working within my God-given purpose. And I know He makes a way where there seems to be no way, as I continue to be faithful to His purpose. I love working with J and his team. Dave and I had the best weekend, putting the final touches on the Bare Detailing shop in Brainerd, MN. If you are in the area, drop by to see the cozy waiting room that will call you back every time your car needs a good cleaning (with non-toxic products, too). Enjoy the before/after pictures and follow me on Instagram and YouTube.
Loving what I do,
