Most of the time when we acquire a new property, it takes a while to come up with a name for it. We use the address to distinguish it from other properties when we are discussing issues, all the while patiently waiting for the personality to begin to show itself. Granted, all of our Florida holdings lean toward beachy personalities, but there is more to it. We spend time in the neighborhood during the reno/staging process. Dave has conversations with everyone he meets and many times we live temporarily onsite, getting a feel for the area. We have learned, names and personalities are important for many reasons.
Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you. Psalms 9:10 NLT
The property names can be fun, but they are also practical for vacation rental purposes. When someone is browsing for an airbnb, the photographs make a difference, but the name also touches an emotional connection deeper than a simple address. The competition in the vacation rental market is fierce and you need every advantage available to move your listings to the top. If you were deciding between a property listed as 165 and a property listed as the Cocoa Villa which would you choose?
